Wii U Tablet Controller Appears Updated with Analog Sticks, Button Relocation

A tester at Tt Games has tweeted a photo of what appears to be a redesign of the Wii U’s tablet controller, which has since been withdrawn. But this is the Internet. Nothing gets withdrawn.

It appears the circle pads reminiscent of the Nintendo 3DS’s have been swapped out with regular analog sticks, with the Select and Start buttons relocated to the right side. Extra, unmarked buttons also appear on the controller, functions unknown.

The Wii U’s controller is still intriguing nonetheless. Nintendo’s new console is intended for a Q4 2012 release.
