Wii U To Hit North America November 18
Nintendo of America has announced the price of the upcoming Wii U console, due to be released on November 18th.
Similar to Japan’s offerings, Nintendo has announced two bundles for the Wii U, the basic bundle with a 8GB hard drive, the GamePad, a HDMI cable and AC adapter will go for US$299, and the deluxe bundle with a 32GB hard drive, GamePad, HDMI cable, AC adapter, console stand, GamePad stand and charger and Wii Sensor Bar, for US$349.
Launch titles to expect include New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendoland, much like what Japan has. And while Europe will get their Wii U only on November 30th, they can enjoy Ubisoft’s Rayman Legends at launch. A surprising title announced was the sequel to hack-and-slash game Bayonetta, which was allegedly canned by SEGA earlier this year, exclusively for the Wii U.
No word yet on any local pricing from Nintendo distributor Maxsoft amidst all this hubbub. We’ll fill you in when we get the details. For more details on the Wii U, its video preview and its lineup on upcoming games, check out http://www.nintendo.com/wiiu/
