Your Weekend’s Pokemon Go Lure and PokeCrawl Guide

The Pokemon Go craze has taken our sunny island by storm, with malls along the major shopping belt of Orchard Road planting Lures to attract Pokemon fans/shoppers. Companies like Razer has even organised their own PokeCrawl for their community at large.

And the craze seems to have spread to the major local telcos Singtel, StarHub, and M1, where each has announced their own little ways to entice Pokemon Go players to visit their participating stores. Even local Internet service provider, ViewQuest, has jumped into the PokeCrawl fray.

So if you’re looking to burn spend your weekend doing some Pokemon hunting, here’s what you can look forward to:

Singtel
From now to 14th August, Singtel will be releasing thousands of Pokémon Go Lure Modules at PokéStops near Singtel Shop locations across Singapore.

The participating shops are:

  • Ang Mo Kio
  • Bugis Junction
  • Comcentre
  • Parkway Parade
  • Waterway Point
  • Bedok Mall
  • Causeway Point
  • Jurong Point
  • Tampines Mall
  • West Mall

Singtel mobile customers will also be able to claim exclusive Singtel Pokémon Go Survival Kits from 11am to 7pm at each shop. The kits come with Pokémon hunting essentials: a disposable poncho, customised Singtel water bottle and a snack. Survival kits will be available on a first-come-first-served basis every hour on the hour.

In addition, Pokémon Go trainers will have the chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 handset each day as part of an online contest. To join, participants simply have to post a photo of their Pokémon Go experience on their personal Facebook, Instagram or Twitter page with the hashtags #Singtel and #PokemonGoSG. Winners will be chosen from the most creative entries.

M1
M1 too will be releasing Pokémon Go lures at PokéStops near M1 Shop outlets across Singapore from now until the 14th August.

Take note that M1 distributors aren’t participating and is only applicable to M1 shops. They are located in these venues:-

  • Changi City Point
  • The Clementi Mall
  • IMM Building
  • NEX
  • Paragon
  • Tampines Mall
  • Waterway Point

M1 would like to offer Pokémon Go trainers an even more enjoyable and fruitful experience by releasing these lures at M1 Shop outlets. There will also be attractive discounts on power banks to enable trainers to have even more fun.

StarHub
Not wanting to be out, StarHub has just announced that it will also be releasing Pokémon Go lures starting today until Sunday (14th) at ten of its StarHub shops islandwide.

The ten StarHub shops participating are:

  • Causeway Point
  • NEX
  • Parkway Parade
  • Plaza Singapura
  • Tampines Mall
  • VivoCity
  • Waterway Point
  • Westgate

ViewQuest
The ISP will be organising a PokeCrawl outing at the Botanical Gardens. ViewQuest will be leading the hunt at various Poke-stops in the gardens, which they will be filling up with Lures.

Interested participants will have to be at the Bukit Timah Gate (the entrance next to Botanical Gardens MRT station) at 4:30pm. Existing ViewQwest customers, come also claim their exclusive Poke-Kit consisting of a water bottle, Official VQ PokeCrawl T-Shirt & Redemption Voucher for unlimited charges of their phone for free with roving Viewqwest Poke trainers. Poke-kits are available on a first come first serve basis while stocks last.

Everyone is also welcome to approach roving ViewQwest Poke trainers for a quick complimentary charge on their phone before returning for their hunt. Anyone who comes dressed in their best pokemon themed costume (or the official VQ Pokecrawl t-shirt) can take a picture and upload to ViewQuest’s Facebook Page with the hashtag #viewqwestpokecrawl, where they stand a chance to win a pair of Beats Solo2 Wireless Headphones worth $490.
