Wargaming.net Strikes Out On Its Own
Wargaming.net is now flying solo in Asia, following its initial partnership with Singapore and Malaysia based game publisher SEA Gaming.
The latter company was responsible for guiding the World of Tanks mothership through its first baby steps into the region.
“It’s been a pleasure to assist a world-class company like Wargaming,” said Stephane Panyasiri, CEO of SEA Gaming Pte Ltd.
CEO of Wargaming Victor Kislyi added that Wargaming.net now stands firmly on its own feet, and is focused on “maintaining sustainable long-term growth in the market.”
In a recent interview with us, Victor mentioned that peak concurrent users in the SEA region were almost hitting 10,000, and that the market for World of Tanks was growing slowly but surely.
We expect those numbers will jump even more come Licence2Play this year, where Wargaming.net will allegedly have the largest booth in the expo. Given the photos we’ve seen of their previous presences in overseas gaming conventions, we’re looking forward to what they have in store for Singapore!
