ViewQwest is officially the fastest ISP in Singapore!

In a fast-paced society like Singapore, slow network speeds can be one of the most annoying issues to deal with. Which leads us to a bigger question: who’s the fastest internet service provider (ISP) in the country?

Well, we’ve got the folks at Ookla to thank for that answer. They’ve done the math and found that ViewQwest is our best bet for fixed network speeds.

Out of the five ISPs that were selected: ViewQwest, MyRepublic, Singtel, Starhub and M1, ViewQwest sported the highest Speed Score of 298.39. More specifically, in terms of download and upload speeds, it was able to maintain consistent values of 792.63 Mbps and 835.06 Mbps respectively.

This new accolade isn’t the first for ViewQwest, either. According to the Singapore Speedtest Market Report released in 2017 (based on data from Q4 2016 and Q1 2017), the ISP also took the top spot for download speeds over broadband.

Singapore has only benefited from the fierce competition between these companies. Based on April’s Speedtest Global Index, the little red dot placed first among 179 countries for fixed download speeds. Our average figure of 197.50 Mbps was a whopping three times that of the global average at 58.66 Mbps. Not too long ago, Ookla also ranked the nation as being the 4th best gaming city when it comes to low ping.

“We are proud that Singapore continues to be a world leader in broadband speeds,” said ViewQwest CEO Vignesa Moorthy in a statement. “We have always worked hard to provide our customers the freedom to use the bandwidth they are subscribed to without restrictive network policies or throttling.”

He went on to reassure users that the company will remain committed to innovating their product offerings and network infrastructure, allowing them to stay on top of the game and contribute to Singapore’s maintenance of its global position.

You’ll want a fast and reliable ISP soon too, with all those E3 2019 livestreams happening next month! Like the one for Square Enix’s new Marvel’s Avengers game.
