Ubisoft Eyes The Silver Screen
And has not one, but two movies in mind.
According to Deadline, Ubisoft are in talks with studios about producing a movie version of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell. Fortunately for all, Deadline’s also reported that should the movie deal happen, Ubisoft will be “very involved and retain control over how the game is translated into a film.”
Which is good, because it also looks like Ubisoft’s newest IP, Watch Dogs, may also have a movie in the pipeline.
Ubisoft already has registered domains, including WatchDogsmovie.com and WatchDogsthemovie.com. According to fusible.com, they have also registered two other movie-related domains.
I’m not a big fan of Splinter Cell, but I’d definitely dig a Watch Dogs movie!
