Tokyo Game Show 2013: Lightning Returns DualShock 3 Bundle

Here’s more hardware news coming from Sony’s press conference.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be available in stores on 21 November. No limited edition announcement this time (got to give that wallet a break every now and then), although we do get a cool Dualshock 3 controller.

There are two bundles here: with or without the game. We haven’t had the chance to try Lightning Returns ourselves but word around the inn is that its biggest feature is the combat itself. With Lightning as the only playable character, fights are a lot more action-oriented with her abilities mapped to the controller’s face buttons. While these drain her energy bar, you can simply swap out costumes to refill it. Brings memories of Final Fantasy X-2, doesn’t it?

The conclusion to the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy will be available on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. I hope you get to save those poor Moogles.
