Bluemouth Interactive Brings Astro Gaming and Moga to Asia
Entertainment accessory supplier Bluemouth Interactive has announced that their range of licensed products will be available in Asia effective immediately. That means we can now simply stroll over to our local stores to get our hands on gear like Astro Gaming headsets and Moga mobile systems!
To help brings this about, the company will be partnering with Ingram Micro’s Singapore and Hong Kong subsidiaries, who have already established strong distribution networks in their respective regions.
“We are incredibly excited to expand our regional distribution footprint and bring our partner’s products to markets of such global significance,” said David Provan, Managing Director at Bluemouth Interactive. “We believe that our strategic mix of premium licensed and technically innovative product[s], which will ultimately include next-gen accessories, make for a compelling consumer range in Asia.”
“The market strength of Ingram Micro speaks volumes for our future direction,” added Provan. “Bluemouth’s experienced regional team will drive the same level of excellence in service, reach and reliability that has yielded our Australian business a preferred partner status with leading retailers since my wife Sally and I founded the business over 10 years ago.”
Those who’ve wanted to pick up Astro Gaming’s products before know that the company doesn’t ship directly to Singapore. Considering how their headsets and mix-amps are in high regard, it’s a shame we had to wait this long to consider them an as option. Nonetheless, better late than never!
The Moga controllers by PowerA are a different story. Enterprising individuals and online stores are already selling them locally, and while the Moga Pro has gotten generally favourable reviews in terms of how it handles, getting a good feel for it yourself would definitely help when considering a purchase. A controller for your mobile device might sound silly but if you honestly spend a lot of time gaming on it then a Moga Pro merits some curiosity at the least.
Ingram Micro Singapore has commented that Bluemouth Interactive’s line-up will be available from October at major retailers.
It’s nice to see the Asian market getting more attention when it comes to gaming hardware these days. Hopefully more makers and suppliers will think twice about skipping our region the next time something attractive gets announced.
Now, if only console light guns made a major comeback.
