ASUS 802.11ac USB Adapter Revealed!

Many Bothans died to bring us these new images of the Death Star plans ASUS 802.11ac USB adapter. Check it out!

While ASUS have yet to officially announce the USB-AC53 (AC1200 USB wireless adapter), what we do know is that it will be the company’s first 802.11ac dual band USB adapter (duh!). It will also come bundled with a NetClip attachment, allowing users to clip it onto the back of the notebook screen, for example, and minimize table clutters.

The USB-AC53 will be good news for gamers who spend most of their time playing online games on their notebooks wirelessly. While today’s 802.11n standard found in most WIFI products/notebooks should be relatively sufficient for normal wireless gaming already, the 802.11ac’s maximum single link throughput of at least 500 megabits per second (500 Mbit/s) will ensure better latency stability even for the most intense MMO game.

We will update the  USB-AC53 release and pricing details as soon as we hear back from ASUS.
