Star Wars Battlefront II now updated with The Last Jedi content

With Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi now showing in theaters, EA has rolled out some new content for Star Wars Battlefront II. The free update sees Finn and Captain Phasma joining the front-lines, while a 20-vs-20 Galactic Assault on Crait and a 12-vs-12 Starfighter Assault above D’Qar enters the map rotation. We’re also getting three new chapters in Iden Versio’s single-player campaign, featuring secrets that tie-in directly to the movie.
“The Last Jedi Season” began early this month by having players choosing to represent the First Order or the Resistance, a choice that’ll supposedly affect in-game events as the war drags on. There are new daily personal challenges and weekly faction challenges to pursue, as well as in-game weekend events to keep the momentum going.
Finn and Captain Phasma are immediately unlocked for any player who logs in during The Last Jedi Season. Accompanying them is a new hero starship, Tallie Lintra’s RZ-2 A-wing, and a skill upgrade for Poe Dameron’s T-70 X-wing.
The following weeks will see more challenges lined up for the community, primarily revolving around Starfighter Assault and a special holiday playlist by DICE to wrap up the year.
Here’s our review for anyone wondering about the game.
