South Korean Diablo III Players To Get Refund
Diablo III players in South Korea will be getting full refunds from Blizzard, following launch issues that plagued the game even weeks after its release.
Complaints to the South Korea Fair Trade Commission led to an investigation at Blizzard’s Seoul office, and thanks to a law in South Korea that guarantees consumers refunds for faulty products, refunds are now on their way to Korean gamers!
Diablo III players in South Korea who are less than level 40 can apply for a refund from June 25th to July 3rd 2012. Players who are less than level 20 and are still within the 14 day window following their purchase, are also entitled to a refund.
To further compensate users, Blizzard will also be offering disgruntled Diablo III users a 30 day free trial of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.
The massive connectivity issues faced in the Asia region server stemmed from a misjudgement in user volume. Two-thirds of online traffic for the Asia region server came from Korea.
