Skyrim's Hearthfire DLC Brings The Sims To Tamriel

Skyrim’s newest DLC – Hearthfire – turns it into ‘The Sims’. Or as Aaron Yip put it aptly, Barbie Doll playhouse for boys.

It’s hard to believe the trailer wasn’t a joke at first, until Bethesda officially announced it. The Hearthfire DLC for Skyrim will be made available for Xbox 360 players come September 4 for 400 MS points. PC and PlayStation 3 owners will have to hold on for a little (or a lot) while longer.

This add-on doesn’t just let you build your own home from scratch. You can also populate your mansion with servants, your spouse, and adopt children.

It adds a nice dimension to the game, even though it adds nothing much to the overall content of Skyrim – unlike the previous DLC, Dawnguard.

What sort of antics do you think you’ll get up to with Hearthfire?
