SG eShop Has A Purpose After All: The 3DS Ambassador Program

Maxsoft announces May 25th date for Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Program in Singapore that will utilise the local Nintendo eShop.

The announcement was made on Maxsoft’s Facebook page yesterday with the news. Like the Ambassador Programs in other regions, it will only apply to Nintendo 3DS units purchased before the price dropped on August 12, 2011 (use this tool on Nintendo’s support page to find out).

Assuming there are no other changes to the program, the 10 Free NES and GBA Virtual Console titles are:

  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Donkey Kong Jr.
  • Balloon Fight
  • Ice Climber
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Metroid
  • NES Open Tournament Golf
  • Wrecking Crew
  • Zelda II – The Adventure of Link
  • Yoshi (aka Yoshi’s Egg)

  • Super Mario Advance 3
  • Mario Kart: Super Circuit
  • Metroid Fusion
  • WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$
  • Mario vs. Donkey Kong
  • Wario Land 4
  • Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
  • Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
  • The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
  • F-Zero: Maximum Velocity

GBA Virtual Console titles are exclusive to Ambassadors and will not be available on sale on the eShop.

All qualifying users need to do is set their system’s region (under Settings > Other Settings > Profile > Region Settings) to Singapore to gain access to the local Nintendo eShop, which is already available and has the new update to Mario Kart 7 if you should choose to update it.
