Razer unleashes the new Mamba Elite with 5G Optical Sensor

If you hadn’t already heard, Razer is bringing us an update to its flagship mouse series, the Mamba. This update comes in the form of the Mamba Elite and is the successor to the Mamba Tournament. The new Mamba Elite retains many of the features that we’ve come to know and love from the Mamba Tournament.
The Elite retains the ergonomic design of the Tournament but with an updated rubber side grips for more purchase. On top of that, the Elite comes with 9 programmable buttons (Side buttons included) for general gaming use. The Elite also boasts a larger Chroma lighting options for more lighting customization.
What differentiates the Mamba Elite from the Mamba Tournament is its 5G optical sensor. Traditionally, the Mamba series comes with a laser sensor, but with the Elite, it comes armed with a 16,00 DPI (Dots per Inch) 5G optical sensor. This is the same sensor you find on a Death Adder Elite.

What this means for you is that the Mamba Elite will have much better tracking than its previous incarnations on mousepads or gaming mats. This, in turn, means better response time in those pivotal moments between life or respawn.
