Pre-Order Details Out for ‘The Last of Us’ Limited Editions

Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us has been high on our radars ever since its official reveal. Many are expecting this to be Sony’s magnum opus for the PlayStation 3 and, judging by the early previews, it’s shaping up to be one.

An announcement earlier today confirms that we will be getting our own limited edition bundle packs, set for the global release on 14th June. Coincidentally that falls on a Friday, so you’ve got the whole weekend to soak up the post-apocalyptic drama.

As a quick refresher: The Last of Us is an action-adventure game set two decades after an epidemic ravages the United States. Able to take over the host’s brain, the cordyceps-type fungus has killed millions, forcing survivors to live in military-controlled quarantine zones. The game’s story revolves around Joel and Ellie, emphasising on their father-daughter-like relationship as they fend for their survival.

Those ‘Dawn of the Wolf’ items refer to the movie poster found in the game. Ellie even comments on them in the E3 extended demo.

Pre-ordering any of these packs at any PlayStation Focus Shop (check below) from 24th May onwards will get you a limited edition umbrella, sporting the lovely face of an Infected. Those pre-ordering the Collector’s Edition over there will also get a limited edition T-shirt, setting you apart from the crowd in event of a future apocalypse.
