Nintendo 3DS Ambassadors: Get your GBA VC titles now!
Owners of the Nintendo 3DS who have signed up for the 3DS Ambassador Program tied to the US, Japan or Europe Nintendo eShop can now get their ten Game Boy Advance Virtual Console titles from the Nintendo eShop. Fulfilling the prophecy that was a SpotPass notification sent out to eligible 3DS owners by Nintendo Japan and Nintendo UK.
Nintendo had previously announced five GBA titles and 10 NES Virtual Console titles for 3DS Ambassadors. Now, a few months after the release of the NES titles, Nintendo has completed the list adding the following games to the list:
- Wario Land 4
- Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
- Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
- The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
- F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
These will join Super Mario Advance 3, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ and Mario vs. Donkey Kong as part of the complete set of 10 GBA Virtual Console and NES Virtual Console titles which will not be sold to other Nintendo eShop customers. All Ambassadors have to do is to head to the eShop and access their account activity to re-download the games they’ve already “purchased” once these titles arrive.
No word yet on how and when Southeast Asian distributor Maxsoft will pull off the Ambassador Program without a local eShop as of yet, but these games can also be pulled off the eShop from, say, the US. Keep in mind that early Nintendo 3DS owners can verify their eligibility through the Nintendo 3DS support website, even if your console was purchased in Singapore, as long as it was before August 11th.
