Mech Combat Shooter HAWKEN To Complement Oculus Rift

Mech combat game HAWKEN will be the second game to complement the virtual reality headset Oculus Rift.

The downloadable, free-to-play, FPS multiplayer game is set to launch on December 12 this year, and is expected to be a showcase of what developers can create with the Oculus SDK and the Unreal Engine. Oculus developers will also be the first to play HAWKEN in virtual reality when the dev kits ship later this year in December.

HAWKEN is currently under development by Adhesive Games and will be published by Meteor Entertainment. It was nominated for 20 awards at E3 this year, won twelve of them, and had three Honourable Mentions. It also received two awards and three nominations at the recent Gamescom.
