Mass Effect 3 DLC dropping Tuesday, 'Extended Cut' this summer

Some of you weren’t quite pleased with how Mass Effect 3 ended, eh? Well, there’s news on the BioWare front. They won’t be changing the ending, but they’ll release the free “Extended Cut” to ME3 to ease the pain, but not before they release the Resurgence Pack, which, fret not, will also be free.

Get yourself some free downloadable content on April 10th when The Resurgence Pack multiplayer DLC releases, hauling some new weapons, characters and maps to the game across all platforms. Shoot with the new Striker Assault Rifle, Kishock Harpoon Gun or the Geth Plasma SMG playing as Asari Justicar Adept, Krogan Battlemaster Vanguard, Geth Infiltrator and others around Firebase Condor and Firebase Hydra.

But that won’t close the chapter in your gamer rage just yet. BioWare has also announced the “Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut” DLC to expand on the game’s ending with more cinematics, but again, will not provide an alternate ending to the game. There’s always machinima for that.
