Jimmy Fallon gets to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Nintendo Switch

Sometimes, it pays to be a star. Like Jimmy Fallon in this case. He is quite possibly the first person in the universe to get to play the much anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild publicly. And on the upcoming Nintendo Switch, no less!

That’s not just it. We also get to take a look at the upcoming Super Mario Run for iOS (out on 15th December), but slightly less than half-way through we get to see Breath of the Wild in all its glory. We also get to see the console transform mid-game (which looks cool, by the way).

Nintendo’s living legend, Shigeru Miyamoto was also in attendance, and Fallon seems genuinely surprised about what was coming; and won’t we all, if in his shoes.

So yes, two things: 1) The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is looking charmingly beautiful, but more importantly, 2) the Nintendo Switch shown here is a demonstration that the hardware is actually working (and not some pre-recorded video advertisement).

The Nintendo Switch will be launched in March 2017, although we are not sure if that includes Singapore and regional territories such as Malaysia. We have reached out to Nintendo’s official distributor for South-East Asia, Maxsoft, for comments and will update when we hear back from them.
