Play The King of Fighters, Metal Slug, and other SNK classics on your browser

Over 21 SNK classics are available for cheap in the Humble NEOGEO 25th Anniversary Bundle, all of which are making their PC debut and are playable on browsers.
Only Firefox and Chrome are supported for in-browser play, which shouldn’t be an issue for most people. Otherwise, the games can be downloaded DRM-free for Windows, Mac, and Linux, with the exception of two The King of Fighters titles – those are only available for Windows through Steam.
Those browser versions come with controller support too. Humble says most controllers will work with Chrome, whereas only Xinput controllers are compatible for Firefox. You could actually test it out right now thanks to the timed demos you’ll find on the bundle page itself.

Seeing old arcade games ported to PC is always great, as they don’t wind up lost to time purely due to hardware. Though it sure feels surreal not having to pony up 50 cents each time a coin is inserted, almost as if you’ve hit an arcade jackpot.
The Humble NEOGEO 25th Anniversary Bundle runs until the wee morning hours of Dec 23.
