Load Up On Star Wars Comics with Humble Bundle

Humble Bundle spoils us yet again with another great collection, though not in the form of video games. Instead the service is pairing up with Dark Horse Comics to offer sixteen Star Wars titles spread over a staggering 118 issues. That’s a lot of reading for just US$15 (SG$19), and the best part is we don’t even have to worry about shelf space!
You don’t have to buy everything of course. The basic tier of six titles features the meaty ‘Star Wars Omnibus: A Long Time Ago… Volume 1’, a series that originally launched in 1977 – the same year as Episode IV: A New Hope. As if that wasn’t enough we also get comics about the last surviving Imperial Guard, a post-rescue Darth Maul, and a double whammy of Jango and Boba Fett.
Beating the average (US$10.33 at time of writing) nets another nine titles, two of which are tied into BioWare’s Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It also consists of a second omnibus subtitled ‘Rise of the Sith’, a nineteen-issue collection that chronicles the events leading up to Episode 1: A Phantom Menace.
At the top end (US$15) is the first volume of ‘In The Shadow of Yavin’, which is essentially the events after the Death Star’s destruction. The Empire wasn’t just going to lay down their weapons and call it a day, and so we get to see our heroes from the earlier movies once again.
Clicking any of the covers on the website will grant you a short five-page preview, enough to see if the art matches your expectations. Even so, the value in this bundle cannot be overstated so go check it out.
