Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn Trailer Is Awesome

There have been lots of trailers and announcements for movies based on game IPs lately. And unlike past atrocities such as Uwe Boll’s Mario Brothers movie, they don’t suck. Well, most of them these days anyway.

The trailer for ‘Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn’, the live-action series based on the Halo franchise, is out, and it’s pretty exciting.

According to In-Game, the story will follow 18 cadets at the beginning of the war with the Covenant, right up to the events of Halo 4. The main character is called Thomas Lasky, who will be inspired by Master Chief as he struggles to lead his fellow Marines. His apparent love interest seems to be English rose Anna Popplewell of Chronicles of Narnia fame.

We like how well produced the trailer is, and how high the production quality appears to be. With the fast pacing of the trailer, we also have the impression that scripting is going to be solid, but trailers can always deceive – some moments did seem a bit cheesey. Nonetheless, we’re psyched for its release on Machinima Prime and Halo Waypoint on October 5. The extended 90-minute long special edition will release on November 6, and will also appear in the limited edition release of Halo 4.
