E3 2012: Going to War with the Razer Artemis

MechWarrior fans will now be able to pilot their Mechs the way they want to, with Razer’s new concept controller made especially for MechWarrior Online.

The Razer Artemis is the result of a partnership with Piranha Games and Infinite Game Publishing for the next installation of the MechWarrior franchise.

Inspired by the BattleMech, Razer Artemis puts gamers into the cockpits of their favourite Mechs and immerses them in the battlefield. Like any good mech component, it is ergonomically adjustable and has fully programmable controls.

“Fans of MechWarrior know how important precision controls are for their Mechs and we think this is going to be a great option for them,” said Russ Bullock, President of Piranha Games.

Robert ‘RazerGuy’ Krakoff, President of Razer USA, said that the original MechWarrior had been a “formative milestone” for his gaming while growing up, and that when MechWarrior Online was announced, “Razer was more than excited for the opportunity to collaborate with Piranha Games and Infinite Game Publishing.”

I’m not a fan of MechWarrior myself, but there’s no denying that a good, complementary peripheral always takes games up a notch.
