Gamescom 2012: Anno, Silent Hunter, Might & Magic To Move To Browsers

Ubisoft is shifting some much loved, classic IPs online.

Anno, Silent Hunter, and Might & Magic will soon become free to play browser-based games.

“We’re really targeting new audiences,” said Benedikt Grindel to PC Gamer. He pointed out several regions that he felt were untapped with “great potential”: South America, Brazil, and Asia.

However, don’t expect the games to be direct ports.

“There have to be some changes when we adapt games to the business model – but the browser itself is just a platform,” Benedikt explained.

Check out the game trailers, revealed at Gamescom, below.
