The Last of Us Gets an Interrogation Mode

The Last of Us - interrogation

If you’re still scrambling about in the multiplayer portion of The Last of Us, then here’s a new game mode for you: Interrogation.

As part of the upcoming 1.03 patch, Naughty Dog’s latest introduction is a 4v4, two-part objective game. The ultimate goal here is to find, break open and loot the enemy’s supply box first. In order to do so, the team must first get five interrogations out of their rivals. It’s not going to be easy, either – prompting an interrogation requires you to shiv or force your target into a downed state. Setting up crafty ambushes sounds fun but chances are it’ll be a chaotic shoot-and-grab with a greater reliance on teamwork.

The patch comes with a bunch of fixes too, from single-player cut scenes to a myriad of multiplayer ones. For instance, revive range has increased to about a meter and Parts will not drop if you prevent an execution or interrogation from being finished. You’ll find the full list here.

Naturally, all this leaves us with a few questions. What is Naughty Dog working on for next-gen? Will we see considerably less blood and violence? And will Jack Bauer be a DLC character now that interrogation mode exists?
