The Japanese Roll In With World of Tanks Update 8.10

True to their promise, Wargaming keeps on delivering. The upcoming 8.10 update for World of Tanks will feature a sizeable Japanese introduction to the online game’s line-up, providing more targets for your armor penetrating shells.
There’ll be a total of 14 machines – four lights and nine mediums – to form the new Japanese tech tree. We’re given a few names: the Type 5 Ke-Ho light tank, STB-1 medium tank and the Type 3 Chi Nu-Kai premium medium tank.
Update 8.10 will also include “a major overhaul in the game’s lighting system.” It won’t stop the dead from bickering in chat, but at least the game is slowly improving its presentation.
There’s always a lot more that go into these patches, from minor map changes to balancing of tank statistics, but we’ll wait for the full patch notes for that. Here’s a tease: there’s the possibility that 8.10 will allow projectiles to go through destructible objects, meaning fences and the like won’t magically absorb shots anymore.
