The Humble Warhammer Bundle is anything but “humble”

Nurse, pass me my wallet. It seems like we have another case of “extremely worth it”.

Because “humble” is the most inaccurate description of Humble Bundle’s Warhammer value pack.

Wait…what’s Humble Bundle again?

Basically, it’s a website that “sells” games to support various charity efforts, and happens to be one of the common features on our weekly Deal Alert article. Check out last week’s entry here.

How it works is simple and yet interesting. Humble Bundle presents a huge catalogue of games for people to choose from. After selection, players donate a minimum of $1 (varying from game to game) to start playing, although they get bonus stuff if they donate more. The donations will be funnelled to various charities, and donors are even given the option to choose where they want their money to go.

Having fun while giving back to the community. That’s all there is to it.

Back to the topic at hand…

The Warhammer series, whether it’s the fantasy- themed Warhammer or the sci-fi based 40k adaptations, is one of the biggest RTS/RPG gaming franchises of all time. Spawning everything from novels, to figurines and of course games, it wouldn’t be inaccurate to classify it as genre-defining.

Old is gold here, and Humble Bundle has thrown together 7 of these gold-class games in a single package. For a mere S$16.47 (or upwards) donation, you get to enjoy all of it. No strings attached.

  • Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War GOTY Edition
  • Talisman (Digital Edition)
  • Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide
  • Warhammer 40k: Space Marine Collection
  • Blood Bowl 2
  • Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War III
  • Battlefleet Gothic: Armada

Wow! Anything else people should know?

On a personal note, having played every single one of the original Warhammer 40k games, I can safely say that it’s an experience that only gets better with age. In fact, it’s one of the “oldies” that I’m still enjoying today. Additionally, among other RTS games I’ve played, I found it the easiest to pick up, which makes it especially suited for newbies to the genre.

The package runs from today till the 19th-20th of November (depending on your location). Don’t miss it!
