Here’s What Warlord Looks Like in Halo: The Master Chief Collection

In an age of remastered videogame collections, the world just wouldn’t feel right without Master Chief looking shinier on the Xbox One. That’s just what 343 Industries have set out to do and now, they’re giving us a peek at a fan-favourite multiplayer map: Warlord.

“Set amid the ruins of an ancient Forerunner dungeon on Delta Halo, Warlock was renowned for hosting close-quarters firefights across its stony ramps and platforms, as well as teleporters that allowed players to instantly warp back and forth across the map to escape gunfights or launch deadly ambushes.”

Appearing under different names throughout the series – namely Wizard, Warlock and Magus – the new Warlord map will have a few tweaks of its own. According to Max Hoberman, the multiplayer lead designer on the original Halo 2, this new iteration will have “additional cover, new skill jumps, and a new weapon in the center.”

Warlord will be available as part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection launching on 11 November for the Xbox One. Other bonuses include access to Ridley Scott’s live-action series, Halo: Nightfall, as well as the Guardians Multiplayer Beta for Halo 5. I’m just looking forward to experiencing the older campaigns once again.
