Captain, We've Got New World of Warships Images

Aware of the long wait for World of Warships, Wargaming.net has been kind enough to bestow a few choice images upon us.
Fun fact: only three New Mexico-class battleships were ever built by the US Navy, having served during the two World Wars. I won’t pretend to know what the other ships featured are but I’m pretty sure they pack as much firepower (or air support) as this 33,000 ton behemoth.
Unfortunately no other details accompanied this release, neither were there any screenshots of the gameplay itself. All we know so far is that it will operate very much like World of Tanks, with Battle Groups instead of Tank Platoons and a variety of ships — both prototype and real — from different nations.
The Wargaming.net portal was recently announced to be expanding soon, and with E3 2013 fast approaching we can expect to see a slew of updates to their franchise. With Gaijin Entertainment’s War Thunder already stealing the spotlight from World of Warplanes, many enthusiasts are curious to see how the battle for sea supremacy will play out.
