The 4 different editions of Horizon Zero Dawn

Guerilla Games’ mecha-dino hunting expedition, otherwise known as Horizon Zero Dawn, releases on 28 February 2017. That’s exactly 12 weeks from now, for anyone wanting to do a countdown. Sony Interactive Entertainment announced today that four different editions will be available, with pre-orders starting on 9 December.

To quickly recap, Horizon Zero Dawn is an open-world action role-playing game set 1,000 years into the future, long after the fall of civilization. Humanity and machines have lived peacefully together for generations but a corruption has started spreading. It’s up to the outcast Aloy – and her newly acquired artifact – to peel back the many mysteries surrounding the world.

There’s plenty of anticipation behind this PlayStation 4 exclusive and for good reason, be it the windswept vistas and majestic creature designs – Horizon Zero Dawn is a poster game for the PlayStation 4 Pro’s capabilities – or simply how satisfying the combat is. We had a closer look at the game during E3.

Nonetheless, there’s plenty to be said about hype culture and pre-orders so practice due diligence.
