Fullmetal Alchemist live action movie gets new trailer

A new trailer was released at a Fullmetal Alchemist fan event in Tokyo yesterday, which showed more details about the upcoming live action movie than the last short teaser a while back.

The new trailer gives us a better look at Yamada Ryosuke‘s portrayal of the titular character, Edward Elric aka the Fullmetal Alchemist, and his brother Alphonse – rendered in full CGI.

Other characters shown include Winry Rockbell, fan favorite Roy Mustang, Captain Maes Huges (bless his soul), and Riza Hawkeye. The major Homunculi villains were revealed too, and you will see LustEnvy and Gluttony in the trailer below.

Fullmetal Alchemist will open in Japan in 1st December. There’s no word of a local release as yet, but live action adaptations of popular anime/manga such as Death Note and Rurouni Kenshin have done well here before. So I will be surprised if Fullmetal Alchemist isn’t screened here.
