Days of Play discounts PS Plus in time for Aug price hike

days of play 2019

PlayStation Plus prices in Singapore are going up, so you might want to take advantage of the Days of Play campaign promos to stack up.

Members received a PlayStation Asia email last month about the price hike, vaguely attributed to “market conditions.” The key thing here is that the new prices take effect on August 1st, so there’s still time to purchase and extend your memberships.

Cue Days of Play and their 30% PS Plus discounts. Through abacus finger magic, here’s how much you’ll save by buying them now compared to what you’d fork out from Aug onwards.

  • 3-Month Membership: $10.00 vs $21.90 — $11.90 savings
  • 12-Month Membership: $30.73 vs $53.90 — $23.17 savings

That’s quite a bit! In fact, the savings you get on a 12-month sub is nearly enough to pick up a copy of God of War (50% off) at just over $25 – we like that game quite a bit. Other exclusives on discount include Marvel’s Spider-Man (50%) and Days Gone (34%), though you could just as easily pick up one of the many other games on sale. There’s also a limited edition PS4, though you’ll need to find a retail store for that.

Free games for June and a trivia

June’s a great time to be a PS Plus member too, since we’re getting Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and Sonic Mania for the low price of free. They’re both fan favorites and are a solid pick to while the June school holidays away (or to add to your backlog of shame, if school holidays are no longer your thing).

The last thing of note is an ‘Ultimate Gamer Trivia’ that’s now live. You’ll need a Facebook account to participate, and if you’re lucky enough to win it there’s an “exclusive PS4 theme and a PlayStation Store in-cart discount voucher” on the line.

It’s all a quick little branding note from PlayStation before gamers everywhere are swept up in the tsunami of E3 2019 news about to come – after all, Sony aren’t running a conference or a booth this year, the first time they’ve done so in over two decades of industry history.

In any case, don’t forget those PS Plus discounts. Days of Play ends on June 17th.
