Calling all Old Master Q fans!

Man…if I had a dollar for each time I laughed at a “老夫子” comic strip, I wouldn’t need a job, that’s for sure.

Jokes aside, here’s a little background info on the character. Old Master Q, or 老夫子 in the Mandarin adaptation, is an immensely popular Hong Kong comic strip penned by Alfonso Wong. First appearing in 1962 and later serialised in 1964, it’s one of the longest running manhua franchises ever, spawning over 60 years’ worth of animations and feature films.

Getting back on track, we’re ecstatic to announce the pre-order dates and prices for a 16cm-tall Old Master Q model! It comes in two variations, “Normal” and “Exclusive”! Here’s the link to the online shop as well.

  • Pre-order Date (for Exclusive Version): 24 October 2018 to 16 November 2018
  • Pre-order Date (for Normal Version): 17 November 2018 to 10 December 2018
  • Retail Price: USD$90 / RMB$600 / SGD$120
  • Release Date: Second Quarter of 2019

A collaborative project between Old Master Q Licensee Great Twins and Twelfth Scale Supreme Action Figure, the model comes with 25 points of articulation, a magnetic, detachable head and hat as well as three pairs of interchangeable hands. Additionally, those who purchase the “Exclusive” version will also receive the dog featured in the comics!

But what makes this edition truly worth a spot in your collection? In Great Twins’ own words, the model will be donning a “fine cutting costume”, which essentially means it’s made from top-quality tailored fabric. What better way to make this genre-defining character look even more unique?

With that out of the way, all we need now are similar models of Old Master Q’s two buddies. Fingers crossed, people.
