Alienware Announces Its Game Victorious Battlegrounds
Competitive gaming is being given a boost with Alienware’s ‘Alienware Game Victorious 2012 Battlegrounds’, an Asia-Pacific online gaming tournament hosted on AlienwareArena.com.
Launched on July 14, this tournament will bring together leading gamers from Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Japan and China.
Games played for the Singapore and Malaysia qualifiers include Dota 2, Dragon Nest SEA, FIFA Online 2, League of Legends and Team Fortress 2. All games have an online Open League category, while Dota 2 has an invitational online Elite League alongside its Open League.
The top teams from each game will qualify for the Malaysia-Singapore Region Finals, hosted from September to October. An overall champion team will be crowned there, while the winning team for Dota 2 will represent their country at the Asian Cyber Games’ Dota 2 Grand Finals in Kuala Lumpur in December. Alienware will be awarding this team a S$13,000 ‘travel bounty’.
For players of other games, the icing on the cake is the S$29,000 worth of prize money that will be awarded to top performing teams throughout the duration of the tournament.
