E3 2014: Team GameAxis' Top Picks for E3 2014

Here we go!E3 (read: Video Game Christmas) is hours away and just as I was buzzed with excitement on the back of recent pre-show announcements, my heart was shattered with news that my most anticipated game, Final Fantasy XV, was not going to make an appearance this year.

Last year’s surprise trailer, which captivated many, and left others with their jaws unhinged, was definitely one of my top highlights of the show, and now I have got to come to terms that it won’t show up.
So while bummed, i did a quick poll with the GameAxis team on what their most anticipated game is for the show and here’s what they had to say:
Aaron Yip
Halo 5.
I may not love the recent games that much, but I’m a huge fan of the Halo universe and lore nonetheless. Microsoft have managed to keep the game’s development in a cloak of secrecy since its reveal last year. So it will be interesting to see where the Xbox One’s first true flagship title will take the console to.

I’m looking forward to Ubisoft’s online/open world The Division because from the teasers we’ve been getting, I’m excited to see how the multiple platform concept comes into play into this gorgeous-looking game.
Ade Putra
I’m eager to see what Hideo Kojima has in store for MGS V: The Phantom Pain. Can he push the boundaries of game design once again, all the while juggling with mature subject matter?
Claire Leong
It would have to be Sims 4.
I’ve been playing Sims since I was a young child, and the trailers I’ve watched are amazing. The Sims 4 has taken a huge step from The Sims 3, and I can’t wait to see what else is in store.

If there are any titles I can think off while not being immersed in whatever games I’m currently occupied with, it’ll have to be Evolve.
I enjoyed my time with the hands-on build and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more in terms of the gameplay and environment. All I need to do is to actually get a next-gen console if I’m ever to play it.
So there you have it, our thoughts on what we want to steal the show this year.
