First Look: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 and new SLI HB Bridge

Computex 2016 – NVIDIA gave us a sneak peek at the soon-to-be release GeForce GTX 1070 Founders Card and also the new SLI HB Bridge, which will come in 2, 3 and 4 slots options.

Not surprisingly, the GTX 1070 looks just like its more muscular brethen, the GTX 1080. But that’s where the similarities end, as our sister site HardwareZone.com can attest to in their benchmarks, which you can read about it here.

NVIDIA’s new SLI HB Bridge doubles the available transfer bandwidth compared to the NVIDIA Maxwell architecture, and it’s only compatible with the GTX 1080 and 1070 graphics cards. If you’re looking for the best surround gaming experience, you will need at least a pair of either cards and a 2, 3 or 4 SLI HB Bridge (depending on the gap you’re leaving between both cards).

The SLI HB Bridge pricing and availability details are not known at the time of writing, but I would expect more information will be released during Computex.

In the meantime, here are some more snapshots.
