Vainglory gets Mouse and Keyboard support with Samsung DeX

At the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Unpacked event in New York this morning (local time), Super Evil Megacorp aka creators of the hit MOBA Vainglory for mobile devices, revealed that the latest Update 2.8 patch will give players the power to play the game as if on a PC.
To play the game with a mouse and keyboard, Vainglory players will need to own either the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8 or the Galaxy S8+ devices and the Samsung DeX Station.
Super Evil Megacorp disclosed in a press release that the collaboration with Samsung furthers their mission by pushing the boundaries of mobile gaming. With the Samsung DeX Station, Vainglory players can experience the game on a big screen through the Samsung Game Launcher app, and use mouse and keyboard to control gameplay.
“We’re constantly exploring and pushing the boundaries of gaming technology,” said Tommy Krul, CTO of Super Evil Megacorp. “With the help of our own proprietary E.V.I.L. engine technology, we’ve been able to deliver a smooth yet visceral competitive gaming experience for Vainglory players across the globe. We built Vainglory specifically for mobile devices with unmatched speed and responsive touch controls, but now, with the help of Samsung DeX Station, we’re taking gameplay to the next level for players who gravitate towards traditional PC gaming, and prefer to play with a mouse and keyboard.”
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will launch in Singapore on 15 September at S$1,398, with pre-orders starting tomorrow. For more information about the phone, such as promotions and accessories, do check out the in-depth coverage from our sister site HardwareZone.com.
