The Walking Dead’s Negan is coming to Tekken 7

After the grand finals of the Tekken tournament at Evo 2018, Tekken Director Katsuhiro Harada and game designer Michael Murray took to the stage to give a brief announcement of what to expect for the upcoming season.

Much to the delight of the audiences, classic Tekken characters Anna Williams and Lei Wulong were announced as two of the six characters coming to Season 2. Anna Williams was part of the Tekken universe since its inception. Those who have played the past Tekken games will remember Anna as the sister of Nina Williams and one of the body guards of Kazuya Mishima.

Lei Wulong on the other hand was created back in Tekken 2, as a tribute to Jackie Chan. Lei was a police officer tasked to investigate the Mishima Zaibatsu corporation.

Fan favorite characters they may be, the reveal of Anna and Lei may not have been enough to eclipse the final announcement of the trailer. Nothing could have prepared the audience for the sudden arrival of AMC’s The Walking Dead’s top villain, Negan.

Negan was only revealed through character art and with a few of clips of his lines on the show.

After the shocking teaser, fans quickly unearthed a 2017 tweet from Katsuhiro Harada, criticizing Negan, claiming he would be “too weak as a fighter.”

Well it looks like Harada found a way to make Negan worthy of a Tekken appearance.
There are no announcements yet as to the price of the season pass or when it will be available.
