Team Singapore to compete in Hearthstone Global Games tonight

Singapore is making another bid for esports glory at tonight’s Hearthstone Global Games group stage deciders. The tournament opens with a showdown between Team Singapore and Team Chinese Taipei at 8:30PM, followed by three other match-ups every 90 minutes thereafter.
- 8:30PM — Singapore vs Chinese Taipei
- 10:00PM — Hong Kong vs United Kingdom
- 11:30PM — Portugal vs Brazil
- 1:00AM (27 Sep) — Norway vs Ukraine
All times are in SGT.
The winners of tonight’s group stage deciders will advance to the HGG Playoffs at BlizzCon 2018 in November, comprising of eight top national teams. A US$152,000 prize pool has been reserved for the eight finalists, with the grand champion taking home a team share of US$50,000 — that works out to US$12,500 per player (approx. S$207,495).
Team Singapore is currently made up of Samuel “Sequinox” Chan (@sequinoxhs), Jin “katsucurry” Shuen Toh (@katsucurry_), Chew “Khaius” Khai Kiat (@Khaius_HS), and Bryan “Crumpled” Ong. With the exception of Khaius from Team Flash, all the other Singapore representatives are from Team Resurgence.
Team Singapore ranked 20th in HGG 2017 with an 18-19 record.
