Student Showdown for 1st Garena Campus League

Esports makes its way to Funan Digitalife Mall once again in the form of Garena Campus League, happening this weekend on 20 and 21 September. Organized together with Alienware, Intel and student eSports clubs, this inter-school tournament will see the top eight teams battling it out for prizes and bragging rights.
Four qualifiers between July and September have led up to this two-day event. Playoffs for all three games – League of Legends, Blackshot Online, and EA Sports’ FIFA Online 3 – will take place on Saturday, 20th September, followed by the Grand Finals the day after.
Garena hopes that engaging the students for the inaugural event’s planning and execution would help nurture them for the future of eSports. The clubs involved are from Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore, Ngee Ann Polytechnic and ITE College Central. The tournament, however, was open to all students in the country.
As always, there are several activities for spectators to participate in, including a chance to win merchandise, in-game items and the Holy Grail of lucky draws: an Alienware gaming laptop. Supporting partners such as Razer, Intel, Starhub and OK.- Energy Drink will be conducting their own activities too, so there’s plenty to do in-between matches.
More information on the lucky drawn and both stage and booth activities can be found at the official website gcl.garena.com.
