Registration for Singapore FIFA 13 Cup Opens

Robots Gone Bad - Singapore FIFA 13 Cup

It’s time to get competitive spirits high again! Flash eSports have announced that online registrations for the inaugural Singapore FIFA 13 Cup are now open, with the first tournament kicking off next Sunday, 26th May.

The series was born out of a desire to “inject life into an otherwise stagnant FIFA eSports scene”. It doesn’t mean that Singapore has a lack of players though, as we’ve seen strong turnouts at past FIFA games, be they competitive or just public demos. Hence, players are encouraged to sign up early to secure a spot.

The venue will be at Alienware Arena and registration fees are $10 per participant (bring your own PS3 controller and cable). Cash prizes and GUNNAR Optiks eyewear go to the top three finishers of each cup. Furthermore, all players will get ranked and seeded on a cumulative points system for WCG Singapore.

Even if you’re not participating, there are always ways to support the event. Turning up lets you mingle with the community and support our growing eSports scene, as well as admire the venue if you’ve never been there before. Else, just tune in to the live stream once it starts airing on Twitch.

Details on registration, schedule, rules and regulations can be found at the official site.

Don’t worry if you can’t turn up next Sunday since there’s always Cup #2 (21st July, Sunday) and Cup #3 (26th August, Sunday) to sate your goal-scoring needs.
