It’s Razer’s Turn At The eSports Documentary Table

One of the things that makes sports great (digital or otherwise) is not just the stunning ability on display but also its players’ history. Nothing sets up a match better than reputations and rivalries though it can be hard for someone new to play catch-up. Fortunately, Razer’s looking to help.

Razer intends to cover the history and people behind StarCraft 2, Dota 2 and League of Legends in their Great Games documentary. The first episode focuses on the rivalry between Lee “Jaedong” Jae and Lee “Flash” Young Ho, going back all the way to the years of StarCraft: Brood War. If you’ve only kept up with the scene recently then there’s plenty of old, pre-Twitch footage to look at. The latter half tosses Song “HerO” Hyeon into the mix.

Chances are we’ll only get to see teams and players sponsored by Razer (understandably) but having more documentaries is always appreciated – with resources like these it’ll be far easier to get new fans acquainted.

Episode 2 (Dota 2) will air on 6 December at 10PM SGT while Episode 3 (LoL) is scheduled for 13 December, also at 10PM SGT. A synopsis of the episodes can be found here.
