eSports: Halo Players Happy With SEL Halo Reach Team Tourney
The Halo community was given a boost last weekend with the Singapore E-Sports League’s Halo Reach 2v2 team tournament.
The 22-man tournament held at Tough Cookie Gaming Cafe lasted for nearly eight hours, and drew international viewers from all over the world to its live stream.
At its peak, the stream had a total of 334 concurrent viewers, and hit a high of 1,441 unique visitors by the end of its run.
While some players were very supportive overall (“Best tourney ever!” said Joshua Lim), others like Afiq Azman felt that the Halo Reach team tournament was smaller when compared to previous Halo competitions.
He did, however, add that the tournament gave “the Halo Community a chance to bond over a good afternoon of games and fun and teabagging and all that crazy things gamers do.”
The Halo Reach 2v2 Team Tournament hosted by the Singapore E-Sports League had a combined prize pot of S$450.
