EL Gaming victorious at WGL Pacific Rumble

EL Gaming was crowned champions of the Wargaming.net League’s (WGL) The Pacific Rumble after a 7–5 win over Noble eSports this past Saturday, 7 November, at the Bellesalle Akihabara B1 in Tokyo, Japan. Taking home US$45,000, this is the latest in a series of successes for the Chinese World of Tanks team, having placed second at the Global Grand Finals earlier this year.

“The Pacific Rumble has been nothing short of breath-taking this weekend in Tokyo! The impressive gameplay displayed by all our teams and our fans are absolutely inspiring. Congratulations to EL Gaming on their prowess on the World of Tanks battlefield and emerging as champions of this very first Pacific Rumble!” commented Alexey Kuznetsov, Deputy Head of Global eSports, Wargaming.net.

Also on display at the tournament was a Tier X Show Match, giving everyone an early look at the format in preparation for the next season. Here it was Noble eSports that reigned supreme, the North American team snatching victory from EL Gaming in a close 5–4 outcome.
