Angel E-Sports are hosting an online-only IEM Brazil qualifier for Singapore and Malaysia League of Legends teams this weekend. The top team from the tournament – which will run from tonight until Sunday – will go on to represent the countries in the IEM Brazil official SEA Qualifier. Should they win that, they will receive a direct seed to the IEM World Finals next year.

The 5 v 5 Summoner’s Rift (Tournament Draft) qualifier will have an offline Grand Finals should the top two teams come from Singapore. The final matches will also be streamed on Dec 30 2012, over an as-yet unannounced stream channel.

A total of sixteen teams from both countries will be playing over the weekend, though Angel E-Sports have yet to update with any information on their match referees.

Angel E-Sports describes itself as an amateur e-Sports company, “dedicated to deliver all gamers in South East Asia a different level of gaming experience through events.” Some sleuthing has shown that both founding members – an Azmi Noor and Grimwick Leo – are both based in Malaysia.
