GAX Giveaway: An autographed Evil Geniuses jersey from Razer!

Razer has been dipping their toes into all sorts of things as of late, from phones to toasters and even energy drinks. That said, the company is still rooted in games and the only thing as consistent as their peripheral launches is their involvement with esports.

Last month, Razer signed a two-year partnership with Evil Geniuses.
This month, Evil Geniuses signed a jersey for us to give away.

OMG did you just sa—

That’s right! Courtesy of Razer, we have one autographed Evil Geniuses jersey up for grabs.

EG has already locked in a qualifying spot for this year’s The International 2019, which now has a crowdfunded prize pool of nearly US$19 million (S$25M).

That’s a lot of Battle Pass sales!

Wait, what about that jers—

Did you know? This isn’t the first time Evil Geniuses flew a Team Razer banner. The two sides first shook hands in 2013, with Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan saying at the time that the team’s roster “reads as a Who’s Who of esports.” They even got some EG-branded peripherals such as BlackWidow keyboards, Taipan mice and Goliathus mousemats out the door.

Plenty has changed in six years, including EG’s ownership, but the three-headed snake is all too happy to supply more esports-grade peripherals for tournaments and training. That now includes headsets too!

No, stop, tell me about that j—

EG has a storied history with Dota 2, which at one point peaked with an International 2015 trophy. The current team now features esports stars such as Artour “Arteezy” Babaev and Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan, with the latter contesting Korea when it comes to esports prodigies. In fact, SumaiL was part of that 2015 championship roster, going on to become the youngest player to surpass $1M in esports winnings.

Here’s the full trophy-hunting lineup:

  1. Artour “Arteezy” Babaev
  2. Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan
  3. Gustav “s4” Magnusson
  4. Andreas “Cr1t-“ Nielsen
  5. Tal “Fly” Aizik

Okay, so, who’s sign—

You’ll get all their signatures on this jersey!

Finally, thank you!

You didn’t ask how to win it, though.

It’s pretty simple:

  1. Head to this Facebook post
  2. Answer the 3 questions in the comments section
  3. (Optional) Leave a creative one-liner with #ThisIsEsports in it.

And that’s it!

The contest is only open to those with a Singapore address.

We’ll be reading your entries until Mon, June 24, 11:59pm (SGT). After which, we’ll use a random number generator to pick a winner from all qualifying entries.

The lucky person will be announced on June 25! They’ll have up to 72 hours from the time of announcement to get in touch with us, else their prize will be forfeited and transferred to another. We’d hate to do that so please keep an eye on Facebook.

*By creative use we mean something inspiring, funny or just straight up impressive. Do that and we’ll double your chances of winning the jersey! Standard chat sensibilities apply so nothing profane, abusive or anything perceived as harmful.

Aren’t we getting a photo of that jersey?

Nope, because it’s not with us. The jersey is securely locked in Razer’s offices, probably together with their prototypes for Chroma hologram projectors or something.

Hologr—

Maybe? Probably? But the jersey, yeah, it’s with Razer. So trust us and we’ll get that sent to you faster than a pub teammate throwing the match.

Good luck!
