Rejoice! Red Dead Redemption 2 is Official!

After much teasing on its website and social media feeds, Rockstar Games has finally announced the highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2.

The original Red Dead Redemption was released in 2010 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation (and now also playable on the Xbox One) and received universal critical acclaim. Fans have since been pushing for Rockstar Games to do a sequel, and it looks like everybody’s wish has come true.

Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.

It also looks like the game will have its own unique multi-player experience, which isn’t surprising considering GTA Online has done extremely well on Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will release worldwide in Fall 2017 for PlayStation 4 and for the Xbox One. It looks like PC gamers will miss out a potentially great game, but then again, there’s also the possibility a PC version will only be released some time after launch. Just like Grand Theft Auto V for the PC.

A Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer will also be shown on www.rockstargames.com on at 11:00 p.m. (SG/PH/MY) 10:00 p.m. (JKT/Thai) Thursday on October 20th. Don’t miss it!
