Pokemon Go Generation 2 Update – Details, Details, Details…

For Pokemon Go players, good news! Recently, there have been plenty of rumours swirling around that developer Niantic is getting ready to release the eagerly anticipated Gen 2 update this December. It appears that we now have a confirmation of when that’s happening.
Just check out this tweet from the official Pokemon account:
While it’s not clear if that meant the major update will roll out on the 12th December, or that an announcement will be made that date, it’s fairly safe to assume that the Gen 2 update will arrive at the earliest on 12/12. This will introduce 100 new Pokemons to the game, as well as (if the rumours are to be believed) new player vs player battling and trading features.
The update will likely be huge and will add to the size of the game, so it might be time to start freeing up some space on your phone if space isn’t a luxury.
