PlayStation 4 Pro sold out on launch day in Singapore

Sony’s newest PlayStation console, the PlayStation 4 Pro, is launched today. But if you haven’t pre-ordered one before, you are out of luck in getting one.
Major games retail outlets in Singapore that I visited today, including PLAYe, Toy or Game, Funz Centre chain stores, shared with me that they won’t even be able to fulfil their PS4 Pro stock commitments to customers who have pre-ordered. They will have to release whatever limited units they have on a first-come-first-serve basis in the pre-order list.
I have also heard the same from a couple of readers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Sony’s first batch of PS4 Pro are extremely limited in stocks and according to our sources on the ground, the second batch is expected to only arrive in the next 3-4 weeks at the earliest. Hopefully in time for you to play a jazz-up version of Final Fantasy XV on the Pro and your 4K TV.
In the meantime, it might be wise to place a pre-order if you have the intention to get one before Christmas. Even then, it’s no guarantee there will be enough units to go around.
The PlayStation 4 PRo 1TB has an SRP of S$599 and comes with one controller.
