Onitsuka Tiger reveals exclusive Street Fighter inspired sneakers!

Fancy some Chun Li sneakers?
Yes please!
That probably goes for a lot of Street Fighter fans too.
In that case, we’ve got great news for you! Or more specifically, great shoes. Japanese shoemaker Onitsuka Tiger has announced a set of ultra-exclusive Mexico 66 SD sneakers that will go on sale this Saturday (July 27) at Onitsuka Tiger Ngee Ann City and all affiliated stores! The shoes come in two colour combinations of blue and yellow, both inspired by the iconic character’s outfit.
On top of that, not only do the sneakers already look great in real life, you can have your in-game Chun Li look awesome too! Each set of sneakers comes with a special product code, allowing your in-game character to equip them. Of course, you have to be playing Street Fighter V in order to do so.
Last but not least, the shoes will include a special commemorative visual designed by renowned manga artist Masakazu Katsura, plus other pieces of artwork from 10 different artists! It’s an awesome cherry for an equally awesome cake.
From a bystander’s perspective, it’s high time something like this came around. After all, Street Fighter is one of the longest running video game franchises in history, boasting a fanbase as solid as Ryu’s abs. On that note, I feel collaborations like these are a great way for Capcom to keep their fans happy and satisfied, in addition to keeping their games updated for modern consoles.
That’s all well and good. But what’s the rush?
There are only 120 pairs available in Singapore, and a total of 5,000 pairs in circulation all around our blue-green ball in space.
Gotta go, bye!
Good luck!
